How to Snipe a Karambit Doppler Ruby in CS2
A worked example from the typed words to the watching filter. The Ruby is a good one to learn on: few listings, large price gaps between floats, and sellers who sometimes list it as “a Karambit Doppler” without pricing the phase.
1. Type the skin
Open Smart Watcher, type karambit doppler ruby in the Which skins? bar and press Enter. Typos and other languages are read (“karmbit dopler rubi” lands on the same card); add a marketplace name to build the cards for it — “on skinport”, “dmarket”.
2. Read the card
The Ruby card leads, its other wears and tier cards behind it. Every float band shows its ceiling: 95% of the lowest Ruby listing seen in that band. The min. ceiling in green is the lowest band’s; the facts line shows how many are live and how often one sells.
3. Adjust if you want
Type a different ceiling, drag the float slider to the floats you accept, or pick a tier list. Every band moves with you, and the filter line under the card is rewritten as you go.
4. Check the replay
Press Preview Results to judge live listings against the card, and the 30d button to see how often it would have fired over the last month. If nothing would ever have triggered, your ceiling is under the market; if everything would, it is above it.
5. Watch it
Press Watch. The filter runs on the marketplace you chose, alerts you on Discord with the listing linked, and can buy for you where Auto-Buy is armed. On the marketplaces where CSWatcher only alerts, the message is the product: open it and buy in your own browser.
What to expect
Rubies list rarely and sell fast. A filter that fires once a week at a real discount is doing its job; a filter that fires every hour is priced above the market. The replay tells you which one you have before you arm anything.
How rare is a Karambit Doppler Ruby?
Ruby is one of the three rare Doppler phases, alongside Sapphire and Black Pearl, and the Karambit is the most demanded knife that carries it, which is why listings are few and mispricings are worth catching.
Do I need to know the price myself?
No. The card prices every float band of the Ruby from real Ruby listings in the shared cache, and you can type a different ceiling if you want to be stricter or looser.
Can it buy the Ruby for me?
On CSFloat, Steam, Tradeit.gg, DMarket, LIS-Skins and BUFF Market it can complete the purchase through your own signed-in session once you arm Auto-Buy with a typed confirmation. Everywhere else it alerts you and links the listing.
